Become a Pilot
How to become a pilot?
Congratulations! You’ve already taken your first step in viewing our website! The idea of becoming a Pilot can be a daunting one and you may not know where to start
Firstly, lets answer the most common questions we come across:
Do I have to be good at maths?
No, not particularly. A good basic knowledge of maths will help you, but we will also help you in-house!
How old do I have to be?
Firstly, there is no minimum age to start training, only minimum ages to be granted a licence. To obtain a Private Licence you need to be a minimum of 17 years old. To obtain a Commercial Licence you need to be a minimum of 18 years old.
Do I have to do theoretical exams?
Yes. For a Private Pilots Licence there is one exam encompassing 7 subjects. For the Commercial Pilots Licence there are 7 exams in total, covering the same subjects that are covered in the PPL examination, but more in depth.
Do I have to have an aeroplane license first?
No
The next step would be to contact us and come in for a meeting. We can discuss your goals and suggest the best way to achieve them. We also offer Trial Introductory Flights (Check our courses available!). This is a good way to test the waters to see if flying is for you! Further details about how to get to becoming a Commercial or Private Pilot is listed in the courses available section!
